Shaffer's has been a huge blessing during my time in Ames. I have an old, foreign car that isn't made any more and therefore, makes fixing/replacing parts difficult. The mechanics are honest, hard working people who care about you and want you to drive a safe car!!! Super helpful and kind.

After a deer hit my car my insurance company recommended them. I asked around and my in-laws, who have lived in the area forever, recommended them. Once I got the car to them, they took care of it. They went above and beyond, even offering free loaner cars. I recently took a painted motorcycle saddle bag in to see about repainting it. It had been badly scuffed from a boot hitting it repeatedly and looked terrible. He took it back and polished it while I waited. He managed to polish out most of it. What is left is barely noticeable and not worth the cost of repainting. Painting would have cost several hundred dollars and replacing it would have cost even more. He didn't charge for a few minutes of his time.

This place is hands down the BEST place to get your auto repairs done. Both times I have been here, the service was great, they have loaner cars available if needed, and the repairs made the car look brand new! Thank you so much for your excellent service.

My go to place for any Auto related questions/repairs. Mike in the office is always helpful and courteous. Their team does great work. I always appreciate their honesty and genuine care. If there is any easier fix elsewhere or something that could save me a little money they always let me know and refer me to the best specialized place in town.

We had our car damaged in a tornado and it took about 4 weeks for the repairs. Great thing was Shaffer's has a fleet of courtesy loaner cars!!! Saved us lots of money and they did a great job fixing our car!!! Just dropped off our second car for the year to be fixed for hail damage once again got a nice loaner car saved us money out of our pocket. Also this is the the cleanest nicest repair shop I've ever been to. Almost reminds me of walking into a spa... I absolutely love it!

We love Shaffer's! They did an awesome job repairing our vehicle after it was damaged while parked on the street. In addition, I recently drove up too close to a curb and caught the rubber shield on the bottom of the vehicle, tearing it and causing it to flap constantly against the ground as I drove. I stopped by Shaffer's and they repaired it within ten minutes at no cost! They are all about customer service, and I can't recommend them enough!
